OUR ORGANIZATION / WHAT IS YOUTH SCHOOL MINISTRY

OUR ORGANIZATION:- The Youth School Ministry is a youth-focused non-governmental organization that is also non-partisan. There is no discrimination among us based on one’s race, tribe, color, religion, natural origin, age, handicap, or denomination. The foundation was founded in 2000 but was officially registered in 2016 with the main office based in Accra in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. As the Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he grows, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). In obedience to this instruction, we have taken upon ourselves to reach out to the child in question, whether at the school of attendance or out of school, to carry out the said instruction. We also help the less privileged with solidarity in their education and support the development of their talent to help themselves, their families, and society as a whole.

COVENANT:- The Youth School Ministry (TSM) is governed by a 5-member board of trustees who oversee the policy direction of the foundation and take oversight responsibilities for management decisions. The secretariat implements the programs of the foundation and is headed by an executive director.

VISION:- It is our vision to train the youth in the ways of God, help develop their talents, and support them physically, spiritually, and materially. Additionally, we aim to create awareness of health issues.

MISSION:- Through training them in the ways of God, we also aim to support and empower young people to achieve their full potential in their personal lives, professional development, nurture and train others, and contribute to a sustainable environment.

HOW WAS YOUTH, SCHOOL MINISTRY STARTED

In the year 1997, a year after completing his secondary school, a young Ghanaian was burdened with the desire to reach out to students in various schools, where he saw the lives of many students being destroyed or influenced by the devil. These students are the future leaders of our country, so if we don’t train them in the ways of God and to walk in the righteousness of God, what will be the future of our country and the generations to come? Brother Christopher decided to do something about the situation with the help of God. A stand school evangelism and school program in various schools. After some time, other Christian brothers and sisters joined to form a group. That group is now the (45M) group, and together, they move to various schools to preach and teach the students the word of God.

STUDENTS OR YOUTH BEING DESTROYED:- The youth form the majority part of our population. In this case, much attention has to be given to them since we have a bright future for the youth; the devil wants to capture them early in their youthful stage and destroy them. Most of the students involve themselves in bad attitudes like smoking, drinking alcohol, lesbianism, homosexuality, etc. Due to these bad attitudes, most of the students are being destroyed and can’t fulfill their God-given destinies. They need Christ in their lives and have to know the knowledge of God. The Bible says, “How can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Romans 10:14). We are about 5.3 million youths in Ghana, and only a few are Christians.

GET INVOLVED

We need believers or Christians to join us so we can reach out to the youth. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few, so we need more laborers to join us in reaching the youth. Our doors are open to all believers, no matter your church. Contact us for details. There are about 1.8 billion youth in the world; 5.3 million are in Ghana, and only a few are Christians, and it will take us to reach them.
