LESSON COMMENTARY
A teenage girl who have been staying with her mother since she
was born, the father travel when the girl was a baby. One day the
father returned but the daughter did not love him because she did
not know him.
The mother one day told her daughter all what the father have
been doing for her. Paying her school fees, sending money to the
mother every month, buying cloths for her and may more when
she got to know all this things she began to love the father.
Some people situation is just like that of the teenage girl. God has
been doing so many things for them but because they don’t know
or not aware of it. So they do not love God the way they should.
The bible says that we know and believe the love God
has for us (1john 4-16)

If you are in the house with your parents and you say you love
them, it means you do every good thing they tell you to do.
Love is an action word, so love is what you do not only what you
say. The bible says God requires of us to fear him, walk in all his
ways, and to love him, and to serve him with all our heart and with
all our soul (Deuteronomy 10:12).
Jesus said, he that has my commandment and keepth them he it

HINDRANCE IN LOVING GOD SCRIPTURE
LESSON TEXT
1 John 2:14
I have written onto you fathers, because ye have known
him that is from the beginning, I have written unto you
young men because ye are strong and the word of God
abided in you and ye have overcome the wicked one.
Verse 15,
Love not the world neither the things that are in the world.
If any man loves the world the love of the father is not in
him.
Verse 16,
for all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of
the eyes and the pride of life is not of the father but is of
the world.
Verse 17, and the world passeth away and the lust there
of, but he that doeth the will of God abided forever.

At times we love these things more than loving God. They hinder us from loving God.

LESSEN COMMENTARY
Everything you are ask to do on the earth there are hindrance that
prevent you from doing it. If your parent ask you to do your
homework or house duties there are hindrances like watching
Television, going on Whatsapp, internet, going out or playing with
your friends, laziness ETC.
In the same way God love us and expect us to love him.
There are hindrances hindering us not to love God. Some of them
are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.
These are not of God but of the world (1 John 2:16)
